Snowpiercer Trailer

"Curtis - this is your destiny." Now this is how you sell a movie. Release a couple of great trailers, show just enough footage but not too much, end on the perfect dramatic note. How is anyone not sold on this after all we've been showing for Snowpiercer?! This looks incredible, and combined with all the fantastic early buzz, I'm thinking Joon-ho Bong has made a sci-fi sensation that will end up on a lot of Top 10 lists this year, as long as Weinstein Co. still puts it out in 2013. One tweet review said that Snowpiercer is "easily the best thing Chris Evans has ever done" and there are glimpses at that kind of fierce performance in this brief 45-second final trailer. I am so excited to see this movie, cannot wait, I wish it would hit theaters now.

Here's the final international release trailer for Joon-ho Bong's Snowpiercer, found on YouTube:

The cast for Joon-ho Bong's Snowpiercer includes Chris Evans with Ed Harris, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, John Hurt, Oscar winners Tilda Swinton & Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner, Kang-ho Song and Luke Pasqualino as passengers on the train. Joon-ho describes Snow Piercer as a post-apocalyptic movie about a few survivors who end up on a massive train that is divided by economic classes. "With a revolt brewing onboard, the Snow Piercer is a train of Earth's lone survivors that travels around the cold world." The Weinstein Company is planning a "wide summer 2013" release for the movie, but no date has been set yet. It will be released in South Korea coming up in August. We expect to see it over here soon after.

I saw the "animated" prologue and now I don't want to watch this film. Premise is crap.

I honestly don't think it's shot very well. It might end up being good but I think the trailers make it look cheesy.

I saw this at a test screening a few weeks ago, it was ok. This trailer is 90% shots from the two best scenes, not at all representative of the film as a whole..

i had a look at the graphic novel this is based on, and it seemed way more in the political discussion side of things, with a lot of dialogue, is that closer to how the movie is? What did you reckon to the style of the film? I love the look of it.

I agree with everyone questioning the look of the film. Nothing about what I've seen in a trailer has me interested at all. It does look kind of cheesy and almost like a B movie. All the very positive buzz around it has me wondering if there's something more to it though. I'll probably just end up renting it.
