Ah yes, it's time to delve into the cinephile mind of Edgar Wright. What films have influenced him as a filmmaker, which are his favorites? Edgar (follow him on twitter @edgarwright) recently stopped by the Criterion Collection offices in New York and raided their DVD closet, as all respectable filmmakers must do. In the video they released, he talks about 3 specific films that he pulls from the shelf. However, Criterion has also published his list of Top 10 films to compliment the DVD/Blu-ray selections. Do you think you know his favorites already? Find out and discover more films from Edgar's Criterion raid. Order your Criterion here.
Here's the Edgar Wright video of his visit to the DVD library, direct from Criterion Collection's YouTube:
From Criterion: Acclaimed English filmmaker Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, The World's End, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Shaun of the Dead) stopped by the Criterion Collection office and picked out a few of his favorite films from the DVD closet. In the video, he mainly talks about: Georges Franju's 1960 B&W Eyes Without a Face, Alex Cox and his 1987 film Walker, and Nicolas Roeg's 1973 Don't Look Now. On the Criterion website, Edgar also lists his own Top 10 films, featuring: Brian De Palma's Blow Out, Terry Gilliam's Brazil, Wes Anderson's Rushmore, Melville's Le Samouraï, Buñuel's The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and Michael Powell's Peeping Tom, plus Eyes Without a Face. Thanks for the list, Edgar.

What a nice man! I wonder if he will ever come clean what made him quit Marvel and ANTMAN? Probably not...at least a decade...
