Watch: America is Robo-Phobic in Second Full Trailer for 'RoboCop'

RoboCop

"Why is America so robo-phobic?" As OmniCorp's latest robot security polices the globe, America still isn't on board with their methods of terrorist containment and authority. Thankfully, officer Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) just happens to need some sort of resurrection after a targeted explosion leaves him barely alive. Now Murphy is the new face of OmniCorp, a human-cyborg hybrid, a RoboCop. But who's really in control. The second trailer paints a bigger picture of the story and the world in which it exists. However, I can't help but think this movie is merely driven by Jay Baruchel's line "We're gonna make a lot of money."

Here's the second theatrical trailer for Jose Padilha's RoboCop, originally from Yahoo:

Alternate "international" version of this RoboCop trailer, which runs shorter than the first:

Lastly here's a second poster for this RoboCop remake, direct from IMPAwards:

RoboCop

When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice. Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton also star in RoboCop from director Jose Padilha and writer James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man). Sony Pictures sends the film to theaters on February 7th, 2014.

Actually just watched trailer, this is how i wished it was when i was a kid, but with Red' from the 70's show as the villain still.

Only Thing that worries me is if this sequal gets rated pg-13 (which its going to) its gonna be a whole movie of Robocop Fighting other robots with Bullshit threats to Humans and that is not going to do it for me. I loved the original because it was gritty and bloody. I don't think were going to be seeing much Campiness, Blood, depravity, and acid covered blobs of human which made the original so excellent.

Agree. What made Olympus has fallen so much better than White House Down was the raw and intense killing scenes. It felt more real and dark while the other was just not realistic and supposed to be funny I guess. Rated R all the way.

Liked the movement side of it, the old Robocop was so slow. The humour in the original Robocop movie was a big part of it though, maybe the Jay Baruchel character will be the cocaine explosion guy?

stop it all originals are better you would have 2 live in that era to know it. this reboot dont look bad plus i know joel kinnaman from ''the killing'' had a chance to know him better as a actor. in all this should be a good reboot cant wait but please people if u are young you wouldnt understand seeing the 1st robocop at the movies in 1987 it made u feel u was robocop can this 1 do the same for kids?

All originals are better? You do know Peter Jackson's LOTR was the second movie iteration after Ralph Bakshi.

Cool, but is this really even ROBOCOP? They could have made a couple changes and it would be an entirely different movie.

Looks like pirate bay movie

Awful. Godawful. So OCP whacks Murphy, there's your twist. Plus he looks more like he's wearing one of the suits from the first GI Joe flick, than being "Part Man, Part Machine, All Cop." I'll go do what every respectable Robocop fan should do and watch the Verhoeven classic. "Guns, guns, guns."

This is starting to look good. I think that after all the bad publicity and the hate for this movie already, it really doesn't stand a chance even if it turns out to be awesome, which is a shame really.

Kids, please give a Padilha chance. If he has the minimun of liberty to work, you all gonna see a great movie...

So I've just come home from seeing this in Australia, and if anyone is interested; It is worth the watch. Some of the nods and homages to the original they put in were really cool. Joel Kinnaman made a really likeable Alex Murphy, and Gary Oldman stole the show, as per usual.
