22 Jump Street

"Nobody gave a shit about the Jump Street reboot, but you got lucky." Just last month, Channing Taum delivered a funny video from the set of 22 Jump Street, spoofing a stunt that Jean-Claude Van Damme pulled off just a week earlier. Now we have the first red band trailer for the comedy sequel from the first film's directors Phil Lord & Chris Miller. Continuing the self-awareness of the reboot of an old franchise that no one cared about anymore, Nick Offerman introduces us to the sequel, and we get a hint of the new plot to stop the flow of a new drug in college, along with a shot of Jonah Hill looking like a goth kid. Watch it!

Here's the first red band trailer for Phil Lord & Chris Miller's 22 Jump Street from Sony:

22 Jump Street is directed by Phil Lord & Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The LEGO Movie) and written by Michael Bacall (21 Jump Street, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Oren Uziel (Kitchen Sink). This time Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) find themselves undercover at a local college, to stop more drugs from being spread. Ice Cube also returns as the undercover unit's captain, and Sony Pictures releases the sequel on June 13th, 2014 next summer. Looking good?

I skipped the first in the theater but really enjoyed it when I finally saw it. So I guess I'll give this one the benefit of the doubt after this underwhelming trailer.

I got it off Redbox because I thought it was going to suck, I was pleasantly surprised. I proper reboot that didn't take its self seriously and even poked fun at that fact it was a reboot.

Well it's got the exact same plot but at least they try to keep the focus away from that. Looks funny.

So it's basically the exact same plot of the first movie but with more jokes. This is going to either suck or be totally awesome. I am a fan of the first movie also. We'll see....

So long as they don't come up with some BS to make them stop being friends for 20 min of the movie I will fine.

They are HANGOVERing it. But let's hope this is going to show us the RIGHT way.

I loved the first one, this also looks great. The Ron Swanson Cops lines from the first movie were great, Im glad they brought him back.

I'm sure I'll watch it, but probably a rental. I barely have time to see The Hobbit right now, which is killing me...
