Bad Words

After premiering at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, the R-rated comedy Bad Words is coming to theaters in March. Now the first red band trailer has arrived with star Jason Bateman (Identity Thief, Horrible Bosses) using a loophole in the system to partake in the National Quill Spelling Bee. In addition, to giving kids a hard-time, he befriends a precocious, friendless Indiana boy named Chaitanya (Rohan Chand), and the two become unlikely friends and partners in crime. This comedy actually marks Bateman's debut as a feature film director, and it looks like he's crafted quite a hilarious flick. Watch below!

Here's the red band trailer for Jason Bateman's Bad Words, originally from Yahoo:

Bad Words is directed by Jason Bateman with a script from freshman writer Andrew Dodge. Thanks to a registration loophole, Guy Trilby (Bateman), a 41-year-old, foul-mouthed, cranky, ill-mannered high-school dropout, enters the National Quill Spelling Bee, and he is ruthlessly determined to win. Trilby slashes and burns through the regionals, then, at the national level, he meets legitimate competitor Chaitanya (Rohan Chand), a seemingly ingenuous boy unfazed by the older man's misanthropic demeanor. Kathryn Hahn and Alison Janney also star in the film which Focus Features releases to limited theaters on March 21st, 2014.

I like Bateman in his role, but the rest of the movie/story/cast looks really bad.

Looks hilarious! Jason Bateman plus high levels of sexual innuendo and profanity equals comedy gold for me!

Did he just refers to that child's mouth as a 'curry hole'? That's a new one.
