X-Men: Days of Future Past

With the film just over a month away, it's time for the final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, and if you're not fully excited for this sequel after watching it, we're not sure what to tell you. This promises to be the biggest X-Men film to date, which is crazy since X-Men: Apocalypse could be even bigger. But it's hard to argue with the presence of this positively massive cast that includes the young X-Men: First Class crew, and the veteran original X-Men franchise cast brought to life by Bryan Singer. We're still trying to keep our hype in check, but we can't help our growing anticipation after this last tease. It features everyone from Magneto to Kitty Pryde, Beast to Mystique, Quicksilver to Iceman, and of course, Professor X. Enjoy!

Here's the final trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, direct from X-Men YouTube:

Plus a 20-minute Q&A with Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender + James McAvoy (via Yahoo):

X-Men: Days of Future Past is directed by Bryan Singer and written by Matthew Vaughn and Simon Kinberg. The sequel features cast members from the original X-Men franchise like Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore along with X-Men: First Class cast members like James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Michael Fassbender. The present day X-Men are in danger from a mistake in the past, and Wolverine is sent back in time to fix it in order to avoid a dark, terrifying future timeline. Fox will release Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past everywhere starting on May 23rd this summer. We can't wait. How does this one look?

Magneto is very fond of rearranging landmarks.

Wow, that trailer gave away a lot of the movie. I wish I wouldn't have watched it...

Loved the first two trailers, but this one has such a terrific and tremendous sense of fun. Can't wait!

Won me over finally. I was really down on this film for months because I thought that Singer lost that fire that made him such a good director in the 90s. Guess it's totally back.

Such an overused song....they couldn't at least gone with Rage Against the Machine's "Wake Up"

Nope...the X-Men needed to get the Led out

That trailer didn't sell me on Singer. Quite the opposite. I have no hope for a real X-Men film. When do the rights revert back to Marvel?

Uncle Walt on Apr 16, 2014

12

"didn't sell me on Singer" I do have to ask, you've seen X-men 2 right? You know, that fantastic comic book movie that helped to pave the way for Marvel's universe. Directed by... Bryan Singer.

blargh on Apr 16, 2014

13

Exactly. Before the MCU and Chris Nolan, Singer's X-Men films were hugely influential, and really the only thing giving comic book films legitimacy in the eyes of the general public. X1 and X2 are both classics of the genre IMO.

Singers X-Men have sucked so far. Hopefully DOFP will redeem himself.

Keep dreaming. As long as Fox keeps making X-Men movies, they retain the rights. They've made tons of money so far, so they're not going to stop making movies. As a matter of fact, they already have a new X-Men film in the works, as well as a Deadpool movie and a Mystique movie in pre-production. Sadly, Marvel will never get their X-babies back....

X is walking early in this movie! Interesting

Good trailer but i just want to punch the screen every time i see Quick Silver. He just looks like an asshole.

Rock n Rollllll on Apr 16, 2014

Agree the quicksilver character looks super cheesy. I think that's going to be the most annoying part of the movie.

24

I dont know, I would have totally agree'd with you until this trailer. Now I think all their design choices for him make total sense

Ryan on Apr 16, 2014

I just really really hope his ability doesn't come off looking really dumb. I keep getting that impression when I watch past xmen movies.

Future starts this summer May 25th...

Fassbender and McAvoy are the best thing that happened to the X men franchise, I love those two in these roles! I hope merging them with the other X men doesn't ruin what First Class gave us.

Ricardo_PT on Apr 16, 2014

So the sentinels become terminators and the xmen, not John Conner fights them. Interesting. And why is Prof. X walking. I don't get it. Wasn't he in a wheelchair at this point in time.

backwardsprogress on Apr 16, 2014

29

yeah that's what the story was when they announced these robots , that they suck .. Couldn't have just given a nod to AIM ( since they are going that way in the "Agents of Shield " , and Hydra ) and have Red Sentinels with a Modok-looking face ??? This is 1st Class' PAST , barely after the Cubam Misile Crisis ; this tech looks too futuristic .... I take it the walking will be explained ....

It's okay if you're into super awesome I guess. I mean, if you like stupendously unbelievable then I guess you'll like this movie.

Colossus seems to have a large role. Singer knows how to get me in the theater. Would love a stand alone film. Also is there three time lines? Old Prof X. Young X. And not paralyzed young X?

Xerxexx on Apr 16, 2014

32

I was thinking the same thing about Prof X. Intriguing.

Quanah on Apr 16, 2014

Perplexing even.

Would you say that Colossus seems to have a......Colossal role this time? 😛

Never before did I see a trailer that got my pants wet in less than 30 seconds.

38

Stoking the flames ... God McAvoy looks like a 16-yr old in the Yahoo panel ... those three bonded thru their accents .. the only Questions are : will you drop the $20 for IMAX ? and can you wait a week for the crowds to die down ? .

Dominic on Apr 20, 2014

39

No Cyclops and an indestructible Wolverine that renders any action scene, tension free because you know they can't die. Though this of course applies to all the characters in the never ending cash cow. Of course the only character they did kill off and never bring back was Cyclops because the writers were too lazy and too inept to find a role for him.

Alright. I'm finally game. But I still think the John Carter trailer wore this music better.
