That was orders better than the last trailer. I'll always hear this version of the song in my head when I see the original now, I love her voice, though I didn't like the songs on her album much.

I think Disney has perfectly captured the dark tone of the original story and has translated it well into live action form from first looks. It just simply looks amazing. It reminds me of the first Chronicles of Narnia film in how it just captured the entire spirit of the book in it's essence and that is the type of tone I see Disney wants to emulate again. Everything looks great and I can't wait to see it, hopefully it truly lives to the hype. It doesn't look like an Oz the Great and Powerful and it doesn't look like Burton Alice in Wonderland. I think the flaws in both of those films comes from the director themselves and on how their tone/vision differed. Maleficent just seems like a step into the right direction.

This movie looks a zillion times better then I had originally expected! I think Disney has a big hit in their hands with this movie 🙂 . It's going to put the 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie and the 2013 Oz the Great and Powerful movie to shame!

Like the hat. I am very happy with how this shaped up. Very dark looking and Jolie looks fantastic as Maleficient. Not sure if I like the cheek bones prosthetic, but I really dig everything else.

Great branding. LDR fits perfectly with the aesthetic of this film. They're definitely trying to market this to the LOTR/Hobbit crowd with dashes of Alice and they're doing an excellent job.

While I'm not saying that this kind of scraping isn't rare, I don't really see the similarity in this example. "Tune" may be the only word that could be more than a coincidence, but really, those two titles both simply say what the scoop is in this trailer. -- Anyway, I agree with everyone else that this is an incredible trailer (and I don't even go for these CGI-fantasy-fests in the last few years at all). It'd be a welcome surprise from this type of movie if it turned out good.

I disagree that the scoop is the music. The scoop is the trailer. And like I said: this is a prevailing issue between the two sites mentioned. It's just sloppy.
