Bullet to the Head Trailer

"I'm a people person." So here's the deal. Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are both in The Expendables 2 this weekend; they're also both in The Tomb. Schwarzenegger has his next standalone action flick The Last Stand, which we just got a trailer for today. And Sly Stallone has his own standalone action movie Bullet to the Head, which was set to be released April of this year but got delayed until February of next year, in 2013. IGN has now debuted the first full-length trailer and it's packed full of awesome action, of course, and even some comedy, plus Jason Momoa, Sung Kang, Sarah Shahi and Christian Slater.

Watch the first theatrical trailer for Walter Hill's Bullet to the Head, originally from IGN:

Bullet to the Head is directed by Walter Hill (The Warriors, 48 Hrs.) and written by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger) with Sylvester Stallone playing a New Orleans hitman who teams with a New York City detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge. The film also features Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jon Seda and Holt McCallany. Warner Bros originally had this set for release in 2012, but Bullet to the Head was pushed back to hit theaters starting February 1st, 2013 next year. Thoughts?

yea, i was laughing during the whole trailer........i feel bad for stallone - he's not aging well at all.

A) I don't think he gives a damn. B) Stallone gets to do what he loves. Making action flicks. Good or bad... he's doin' his thang.

duane - i'm an adult and i'm NOT a psycho - i KNOW he doesn't care.....this is a movie forum and people make comments on what they're seeing - which is what i did.

Got you dude. I wasn't trying to rattle your cages or even imply that were trying to rattle Sly's... I was just making a general comment about what seems to be a sort if resurgence in his career...and the way he seems to be relishing the nostalgic factor in his career. I by no means meant to disrespect u man.

well, when i think back to how good sly was in the original rocky and "first blood" - i think it's too bad he's trying to hang on like this.

Have we just moved on or do these new films from guys I respected growing up lack something? They feel like B-movies in the wrong sense - they just look cheap and the one liners don't seem to work so well. Putting Slater in this was a mistake.

Seriously? Halfway through I was thinking this looked about as good as The Last Stand. Which looks awful. By the time it was over I couldn't believe that it's going to be a real movie. An ax fight? Really?

Brian Ricci Movie Review on Aug 16, 2012

While I don't think it looks game changing, it looks fun. But I don't get how on Earth you are upset about Sly and Momoa in an ax battle. As if that's a negative point on the list. It's a crazy fuckin action movie, not the next rom com. That's like saying "dinosaurs? Really?" after seeing a Jurassic Park trailer.

Just the term "ax battle" sounds awesome. To get to actually watch one is definitely a selling point. Indeed not a game changer, but does look fun.

13

Because it looks really, really stupid.

Brian Ricci Movie Review on Aug 17, 2012

14

Huh? I wasn't expecting a rom com and your dinosaur comment is just stupid.

the ax fight looks like another walter hill flick, "streets of fire", where they used sledgehammers instead...and sarah shahi?...droooool this looks like fun...happy to see stallone making good movies again.

I gotta be real. This looks pretty bad. You'll be able to catch this on Netflix a week after it comes out.

Christian Wamsley on Aug 16, 2012

As predictable and stale as '80s action movies were. Meh, will still watch it.

love the attitude and style of this trailer, i feel like its 1992 again.

Anthony Ceniccola on Aug 17, 2012

32

If Christian Slater is attached to a film, it's straight to supermarket bargain bin cd for the movie. Couldn't be bothered to watch the full trailer, just looked too roided out.

Carpola on Aug 17, 2012

33

I still think Arnold's flick looks more interesting...

leinergroove on Aug 17, 2012

34

This movie looks way better than Arnold's Last Stand Movie. Guess that's what happens when you go into Politics instead of kicking ass. Good Job Sly!

The bad guys are really bad but the good guys always do the right thing even when they are bad. The 80's are back!!

CGI action films feel so right, but what's right for me doesn't work-- it's time for a little wrong, dawg.

Quanah on Aug 17, 2012

I love a great meathead movie, but the delivery of the one liners are all flat (from everyone). Cast is promising, but the trailer isn't Just wish they'd have a chain of $5 theaters, or at least special rates for cheap action flicks and indies. These movies would make a killing and theater owners would see their concession stands skyrocket. Too bad Hollywood is stuck on one point for all movies (not counting over-pricing for IMAX and 3D).

Hey, it's Mike from Breaking Bad!!

it looks like Stallone is back again. That doesn't have to be good or bad (Stallone is not going to complain, I know). It's just weird, it's like, nothing better is going to happen with action movies in Hollywood...

dud3e on Aug 19, 2012

Hey, let's make jokes about how old and out of touch Stallone is throughout the entire trailer, that'll get some laughs! Ugh.
