"I've seen enough blood and death. I know what's coming." While we get our first taste of Arnold returning to action in Expendables 2 this weekend, this is his action return that I am really looking forward to. Lionsgate has debuted the first trailer for Kim Jee-woon's The Last Stand, his first English-language flick starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as Sheriff Owens, who gets mixed up with the wrong cartel in a small town. Jaimie Alexander and Genesis Rodriguez also star, but we only get a good look at Peter Stormare and Johnny Knoxville. That said, it looks quite awesome! Badass intro and can't wait to see more from it.
Here's the first official trailer for Kim Jee-woon's The Last Stand, in high def from Apple:
The Last Stand marks the English-language debut of director Kim Jee-woon (I Saw the Devil, The Good, the Bad, the Weird) working from a script by Andrew Knauer, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau). The film follows Arnold Schwarzenegger as a former LAPD cop turned sheriff of a small border town which serves as the last thing standing between the world's most notorious drug kingpin and freedom in Mexico after he escapes from an FBI prisoner convoy. Forest Whitaker, Zach Gilford, Harry Dean Stanton and Luis Guzmán and more also star in Last Stand, hitting theaters on January 18th, 2013.

I love Kim Jee-woon's films (pretty sure I've seen em all so far). I'm hoping he can bring some of his talent to Arnie's performances here. Looking forward to it 🙂

Hahaha! So awesome! Glad he's back on screen. I wonder if they'll explain how an Austrian became the sheriff of some po' dunk desert town. But if not, fuck it, I guess it never mattered in his other roles either. Welcome back to top billing Arnold!!

This looks unbelievably bad. And what is Knoxville doing? He looks like a moron.

I actually believe Arnie's become a better actor with age and the break from the movies. Great to see him back and making an impact upon the screen in style.

Looks completely implausible. With some ham acting. Like every film Arnie ever made. I'll still watch it because somehow he makes the nonsense work.

I wonder how many of those actors are his children? Looks like old fashioned CGI free action! I'll watch it.

I love when people say this looks bad yet they praise films like Commando. Shaking my head at those people.

Looks like a good old fashioned action flick. 🙂 May be nostalgia, but nice to see Arnold back on the big screen. Love me some Knoxville too! Lol.

Arnie should donate his acting fee to the California economy.
